PURPOSE: To produce a porous carbonization product by a simple process from waste paper occurring in a large amt. CONSTITUTION: The process uses waste paper as the raw material and comprises the step of moistening, the step 11 of crushing, the step 12 of compressing and solidifying, and the step of baking in a nonoxidizing atmosphere. In the baking step, a decomposition gas 27 generated at the thermal decomposition step 14 is burned together with an auxiliary fuel and the resulting combustion gas 6 is used as a heating source for the thermal decomposition step 14, the carbonization step 15, or the drying step. |
