METHOD FOR THE PREPARATION OF ETHYCARBAMIDE

Ethylcarbamide is used for the production of valuable chemical substances and as an effective additive in the manufacture of modified polyamide fibres. The method for the preparation of ethylcarbamide includes reaction between aqueous solution of ethylamine, nitric acid and sodium cyanate in molar ratios 1.0-1.2:1.1-1 :1 and subsequent flaking of recrystallization of the ethylcarbamide.
