PURPOSE: To provide a picture of high picture quality by causing it to correspond to plural broadcast systems while the increase of a hardware scale is suppressed. CONSTITUTION: For receiving digital broadcasting, a controller 322 causes switches 319 and 320 to select a terminal (a), connects a memory part 321 to an MPEG decoder 315 and operates it. A video signal from the MPEG decoder 315 is supplied to a switch 324. For receiving NTSC broadcasting, the controller 322 causes the switches 319 and 320 to select a terminal (b). Thus, an NTSC decoder 318 is connected to the memory part 321 and it can be operated. A decoded video signal is outputted to the switch 324. Thus, the switches 319 and 320 share the memory part 321 by the two decoders 315 and 318. Thus, the increase of the hardware scale can be suppressed and picture quality using the memory parts can be improved. |
