PURPOSE: To provide a directional angle controller which has a compact and light-weight structure and high accuracy and can be used for a universal head, etc. CONSTITUTION: A stator using a piezoelectric substance is fixed onto the inner surface of a casing part 7 of a drive part 1, and a ball-shaped rotor 10 are rotatably supported by plural stators. Thus, a spherical motor is obtained. A TV camera 6 is fixed to the rotor 10 via a stage 11. The stator is driven so that the so-called ultrasonic vibrations (flexural traveling waves on the surface of the piezoelectric substance) are generated on the surface of the stator, and the rotor 10 is turned by the operation of a lever 13 of a drive control part 4. Thus, the camera 6 can be turned to be in an optional direction. |
