Damping arrangement for esp. acoustic vibrations in construction components

The layers of damping material, which are e.g. in the form of wire netting, are mounted on the component mainly in the area which is subject to maximum vibrations. The layers of damping material are held on the component under elastic tension. Its dimensions, mass and resulting spring constants are selected to suit each application. The layers of vibration absorbing material (2) are mounted around the component and are held in contact with it e.g. by a housing (5) or are shrunk on it. When mounted on flat components the material assembled is in the shape of a cushion.
