<p>PURPOSE: To enable thinning of a negative actuation type electromagnetic brake and to obtain the satisfactory rigidity of an armature by forming an armature in a press-molded article of a steel plate, and providing the outer peripheral surface of the armature with an annular reinforcing part which is extended in the axial direction, and the tip of which covers the outer peripheral surface of a disc. CONSTITUTION: An armature 20 is formed by pressing a cold or hot rolled steel plate made by a magnetic material to be dish-like. That is, the armature 20 comprises a disc part 20b where a shaft hole 20a is formed and a cylindrical part 20c extended from the outer peripheral surface of the disc part 20b in the axial direction. The cylindrical part 20c is provided as an annular reinforcing part for the disc part 20b. The tip of the reinforcing part is constructed in such a manner as to cover the outer peripheral surface of a disc 4 so as to prevent abrasion powder from scattering to the outside. Especially, a negative actuation type electromagnetic brake can be reduced in its thickness and satisfactory rigidity can be obtained by forming an armature 20 in a press-molded article of a steel plate, as described above.</p> |
