<p>PURPOSE: To provide an electric heating type catalyst control device which is capable of highly accurately detecting the operation state of an electric heating type catalyst and excellent in reliability. CONSTITUTION: An electric heating type catalyst control device is provided with an electric heating type catalyst (EHC) 2 which purifies the exhaust gas exhausted from an engine, a voltage detecting means 3 which detects the catalyst voltage VEHC applied to the electric heating type catalyst (EHC) 2 and a current detecting means 4 which detects the catalyst current IEHC flowing in the electric heating type catalyst (EHC) 2. Therefore, an electric heating type catalyst control device 1 is provided with a switch means 5 which switches the power supply to or the power stop from the electric heating type catalyst (EHC) 2, a control means 6 which controls the on/off of the switch means 5 based on the voltage signal VEO from the voltage detecting means 3 and the current signal IEO from the current detecting means 4 and an abnormality detecting means 10 which detects the abnormality in the electric heating type catalyst (EHC) 2 and displays the abnormality.</p> |
