PURPOSE:To provide a positive charge one-component toner containing a polyester resin as a binder resin component which is suitable to form a high-quality image and to provide a developing method of an electrostatic latent image. CONSTITUTION:This positive charge one-component toner contains a polyester resin as a binder resin component. The surface energy gammas of this positive charge one-component toner ranges 30mN/m to 40mN/m. The developing method of an electrostatic latent image by using the positive charge one-component toner containing a polyester resin as a binder resin has such features that the surface energy gammas of the positive charge one-component toner ranges 30mN/m to 40mN/m and that the total charge amt. is >=2muC/g when an electrostatic latent image is developed. Or, the features of the method are that the surface energy gammas of the positive charge one-component toner ranges 30mN/m to 40mN/m and that the total charge amt. in the opposite polarity when an electrostatic chalatent image is developed is <=20% of the absolute value of the total charge amt. in the normal polarity.
