SCREENING FOR NUC INHIBITORS

This invention provides methods for screening for agents useful for treatment of diseases and pathological conditions affected by the level of NUC protein activity. These agents reduce or relieve the repression of PPAR alpha protein and TR protein transcription activation activity by NUC protein. The selected novel or unique agents can be used to treat hyperlipidemia, hypercholesteremia and hyperlipoproteinemia.
