Prefabricated swimming pool with facing panels, waterproof lining and base

The prefabricated pool has walls in the form of sheets (3), a waterproof lining (7) which is placed to form a coating over the walls and a base (6a). The lining is fixed in position by devices (12) which form part of a shaped section (13) which is attached to the free end of the wall structure. The shaped section (13) has two flanges (14a, 14b) which fit over the upper section of the pool wall. The shaped section (13) is designed to hold a facing (9) in the form of a sheet against the wall. This facing is placed between the wall (3) and the lining (7). The device (12) for holding the lining in place has ribs (16, 18) which extend from one of the flanges (14a, 14b) and a stiffener (20) for reinforcement. The ribs (16, 18) and the stiffener are formed in one piece from extruded plastic. The ribs (16, 18) form a groove into which the free end (10) of the lining (7) fits. One of the ribs forms a support for the coping at the edge of the pool. The facing sheets (9) are held in position by tongues (15) which are partially cut out of the wall structure. The pool may have ribbed panels and several flat facing panels (9) which are positioned against the ribbed panels.
