摘要

A novel cladding tube has a cross-section comprising (a) an outer Zr alloy substrate; (b) an alloyed Zr barrier layer joined to the inner surface of the outer substrate; and (c) an inner Zr alloy lining joined to the inner surface of the barrier layer. Also claimed is a similar cladding tube with a diffusion layer which extends into the interior of the barrier layer from its inner surface and which has a max. alloying element concn. at the inner surface and a minimal alloying element concn. in the interior of the barrier layer.
