PURPOSE:To provide portable radio communication equipment which prevents the malfunction due to static electricity penetration and is effective to improve the reception sensitivity of a selective call receiver stored in a portable telephone. CONSTITUTION:A selective call receiver 10 is provided with an optical communication light emitting part 11 and a battery pack 30 is provided with an optical communication light receiving part 31 to form an optical transfer path between the selective call receiver 10 and the battery pack 30. When the selective call receiver 10 is built in the battery pack 30, a switch 32 is turned on, and the optical communication light receiving part 31 enters into the state waiting for reception of the optical signal from the optical communication light emitting part 11. In this state, the selective call receiver 10 transfers received data from the optical communication light emitting part 11 as an optical signal, and the optical communication light receiving part 31 receives it, and the light reception output is used to start the reception operation of the portable telephone. |
