PURPOSE:To provide the fading distortion compensator which enables high-accuracy compensation. CONSTITUTION:Concerning the fading distortion compensator provided with distortion value detecting parts 8-11 for detecting the distortion of a pilot symbol at the respective sub carriers of communication to use a multi-carrier and time base interpolating parts 13-16 for estimating the distortion of an information symbol at the respective sub carriers, this device is provided with a distortion estimating means 12 for estimating the distortion values of the respective sub carriers at the same time based on the detected values of the distortion value detecting means 8-11 and for presenting those values to the time base interpolating parts 13-16. When the distortion value of the pilot symbol is detected at a certain sub carrier, the distortion estimating part 12 estimates the distortion values of the remaining sub carriers and presents those values to the time base interpolating parts 13-16. Therefore, the quantity of information to be utilized for the time base interpolation of distortion values at the time base interpolating parts 13-16 is increased, and the intervals of symbols to apply the distortion values are shortened. Thus, the time base interpolation of distortion values can be more exactly performed, and high-accuracy fading distortion compensation can be executed. |
