PURPOSE:To prevent application of excessive force on a long work by various kinds of displacement so as to prevent reduction of machining precision in a composite lathe in which both sides of the work are grasped by two headstocks facing each other while the headstocks are driven synchronously. CONSTITUTION:A control device is composed of press completion determination means 40, 50 to determine completion of pressing headstocks onto a work, command values 42, 52 to move the headstocks, parameters 43, 53 to set necessary data for CNC computation such as data of move of shafts, and torque limiting quantities 44, 54 to decide torque quantities of Z-axis servo motors 14, 24. |
