PURPOSE:To provide a superconducting magnet provided with a monitoring device for observing or taking a photograph of the condition of superconducting coil located in the coolant. CONSTITUTION:In a superconducting magnet comprising heat insulating vessels 2, 3 provided with inlets for supplying a coolant and superconducting coils 4 arranged in the heat shielding vessels 2, 3, the heat insulating vessels 2, 3 have windows 25 for observing the inside of the heat shielding vessels. A lighting means 32 is also provided for guiding incident light to the heat insulating vessels 2, 3 from the windows 25. This lighting means 32 guides only the light having predetermined particular wavelength to the heat shielding vessels. Therefore, the heat generated by the lighting beam on the coolant can be lowered and visible information of superconducting coil 4 can be obtained. |
