PURPOSE:To block flickering of video display and an awkward video display by making deterioration in the vertical resolution and flickering unremarkable without increasing the device scale. CONSTITUTION:Two video signals to display a stereo video image are compressed into a half in the video recording system A to be a video image of one consecutive pattern in the horizontal direction to make video recording. In the reproduction system B, reproduced left right video image is respectively expanded twice to generate video images of two patterns and the video image is displayed by a frequency twice the field frequency of video recording or reproduction. Then one of fields in the display video image is not eliminated by using an eyeglass whose left/right shutter is switched ON at a double frequency so as to observe a display video image. |
