PURPOSE:To provide a carrier for a negatively chargeable developer improving environmental difference in negative chargeability and a carrier for a negatively chargeable developer improving the uniformity of a carrier coating layer and the start-up of negative charge of the developer especially at low temp. and humidity. CONSTITUTION:Hydrophilic silica having <20% rate of hydrophobic portion and resin particles are stuck and fixed on magnetic particles by applying mechanical impact to dry-coat the magnetic particles and the objective carrier for a negatively chargeable developer is obtd.
