PURPOSE:To provide a document preparing device in which the form of a document is never broken at the time of printing the document even if the document is edited by dividing it into plural parts. CONSTITUTION:In the case that one document is edited by dividing it into three parts of the document 41, the document 42 and the document 43, and three documents are outputted collectively at the time of printing, the page 54 of the document 42 and the page 56 of the document 43 correspond to a fourth page and a sixth page. Since both these pages become a first page, i.e. an odd-numbered page in the case that they are printed independently, the positions of a column and a page number become a right upper part and a right lower part respectively (in the case of left-opened document), but in the case that three documents are outputted collectively, since they correspond to even-numbered pages, the positions of the column and the page number become a left upper part and a left lower part respectively. Accordingly even if the document is edited by dividing it into plural parts, since the positions of the column and the page number are determined in accordance with odd/even of each page in the whole document at the time of the printing, the form of the whole document is never broken. |
