The fishing rod according to the invention, of the type with no reel nor line guide ring comprises a tubular shank (2) partly retractable into the handle (1) and exhibiting a length lying between 1.4 metres and 1.6 metres. The top piece is engaged at one end of the shank and is formed by a tubular stretch (3) and by a fine point (4) fully retractable into the stretch (3). The top piece comprises a length lying between 1.4 metres and 1.6 metres, the external length of the fine point (4) when it is deployed lying between 0.465 metres and 0.48 metres. At the end of the fine point there is arranged a quick fastener for fixing a fishing line. <IMAGE>
