PURPOSE:To obtain a recording head of small size, low power consumption and low noise, which is designed capable of supplying liquid with high efficiency, of discharging liquid with high efficiency and of recording in response to electrical signal of high frequency satisfactorily, by making it possible to conduct pressure to the liquid under a specified condition. CONSTITUTION:A recording medium liquid flow passage 2, a discharge orifice 3, No. 1 chamber 4 connected to the orifice 3, No. 2 chamber 6 connected to the passage 2 through connecting passages 5 and 10, and No. 3 chamber 9 connected to the passage 2 through a connecting passage 8 are provided. A pressure means 7 constitutes a part of wall surface of the chambers 4 and 6 and causes pressure wave into a liquid in the chamber 4. An electric impulse is given between 2 lead electrodes 12 to deflect a piezo-electricity element 11 and connect the chamber 4 with the chamber 6 to quickly supply the liquid corresponding to increase in volume. By removing the electric impulse, volume of the chamber 4 is reduced momentarily, pressure wave is generated in the liquid contained in the chamber 4 and drops of the liquid are jetted out from the orifice 3. |
