PURPOSE:To effectively use a memory to easily confirm whether input designation of a mask pattern is correct or not concerning the monitor device which monitors a fault occurring in an apparatus to be monitored and is provided with a picture display part. CONSTITUTION:Test operation is added to an apparatus 1 to be monitored from a test means 3, and as the result, plural test result signals are generated from the apparatus 1 to be monitored. For the purpose of preventing an alarm signal from being generated by these test result signals, a mask designating means 6 uses dot patterns of display use characters and symbols stored in a pattern storage means 5 to designate a test result signal to be masked to a mask means 4. The mask means 4 masks the test result signal from the apparatus 1 to be monitored corresponding to the designated test result signal to prevent the alarm signal from being generated. A mask designating means 6 displays the mask pattern to be constituted by the designated test result signal to be masked on a picture display part 2. |
