<p>PURPOSE:To improve the return characteristic of a steering wheel so as to improve operating feelings. CONSTITUTION:With at least two parameters of steering torque and steering assist motor rotating speed as fuzzy input, fuzzy inference is performed by a fuzzy inference part 40 so as to compute the inertia compensation value corresponding to the steering return state similar to the case of the steering assist motor rotating speed as input, and the control value of an assist motor 6 at the steering return time is corrected on the basis of this inertia compensation value. Inertia is thereby compensated by the inertia compensation value of the assist motor 6, so that the influence of inertia at the steering return time during low vehicle speed is eliminated to improve steering return speed.</p> |
