Disclosed is a package for a solid stick product (e.g.,antiperspirant or deodorant product), wherein the product is completely exposed on a retaining member (2) so as not to require an elevating mechanism. The package has three components: a cover (1), the retaining member (2) and a handle (3). The handle is removably connected to the retaining member (2), so that upon using up the product on the retaining member (2) the handle (3) can be removed and attached to another retaining member (2) filled with product (which is, e.g., sold as a refill assembly). Molten product is filled through a fill hole (13) in the retaining member (2) into a cavity defined between the retaining member (2) and cover (1); the retaining member (2) has bosses (11) for anchoring the product on the retaining member (2), and has vent channels (9) extending between the bosses (11) and the fill hole (13) to displace trapped air from the bosses (11) when filling the cavity. The cover (1) has a vent hole (5) (which is covered when filling the cavity with molten product) to facilitate removal and application of the cover (1) to the retaining member (2).
