The corner protector consists of two corner plates (8) with turned-over edges (7) which fit over each corner of the article being protected, held together in pairs on opposite sides by elastic ties (2,3,4) which can be adjusted to give a variable tension. The elastic ties can be in the form of bands with their ends passing through holes in the plates, with bars (9) inserted through their loops on the plates external faces. The plates can be made, for example, from a high density, fine grain expanded polystyrene, e.g. by moulding. ADVANTAGE - Provides improved protection and more reliable operation.
