PURPOSE:To enable a transparent and opaque pattern to be selectively formed in a heat sensitive layer by forming on a support the heat-sensitive layer comprising a resin base and an organic low-molecular substance dispersed into the resin base and reversibly changing transparency in accordance with temperature. CONSTITUTION:At least one heat-sensitive layer composed essentially of the resin base and the organic low-molecular substance dispersed into the resin base and changing its transparency in accordance with temperature is formed on the support, and at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer is also formed. This heat-sensitive layer may be formed on either side of the support so long as it is to be heated, but it is preferred to form it on the side reverse to the emulsion layer. It is also preferred to form an overcoat layer in order to prevent deformation and scratching due to heat or pressure when the surface of the heat-sensitive layer is heated with a thermal head or a heat roller. |
