PURPOSE:To control the light quantity of each LED and to vary the width of image erasure according to user's demand, in a copying machine with an LED erasure array. CONSTITUTION:An LED driver 160 which drives the LED erasure array 150 is connected to a microcomputer 71. The LEDs 151 are selectively controlled by the control of the microcomputer 71. Also, a generating circuit 72 which impresses a drive voltage VLED is connected to each of the LEDs 151 of the LED erasure array 150 and the drive voltage VLED is varied by the control of the microcomputer 71. The width of image erasure is finely adjusted by controlling the light quantity of each LED 151 in such a manner, thereby varying the width of the light diffusion of each LED 151. |
