PURPOSE:To reduce inductance at a lead electrode by providing an auxiliary lead electrode of a thin metal foil in parallel to the major lead electrode. CONSTITUTION:A foil of 10mum or thinner is firmly fixed in parallel to the conventional S-bent electrode 10 as an auxiliary lead electrode 11. Alternating current is permitted to flow in the auxiliary electrode 11 and the inductance of the lead electrode at high frequency is reduced by providing the auxiliary lead electrode 11 which is smaller than the cross-section of the S-bent electrode 10. Thus, inductance is reduced and low surge voltage and high-speed switching are realized when the device is turned off. |
