PURPOSE:To obtain an ultrasonic motor of high durability. CONSTITUTION:Carbon fiber-reinforced plastic composed of unidirectional carbon fibers is used for frictional materials 12 pasted onto a stator or rotor sliding surface. Further, the carbon fibers in the frictional material are directed in the direction of rotation of a rotor. Still further, a rotor or stator sliding surface 24 of a counterpart material sliding on the frictional material 12 is set at Hv550 Vickers hardness or higher. Accordingly, wearing resistance of the frictional material 12 is increased to obtain an ultrasonic motor exhibiting high durability and long life while producing high driving torque. |
