Process for the manufacture of a mixed metal oxide powder according to which a freshly prepared alcoholic solution (A) of oxalic acid and of at least one metal alkoxide is mixed with a solution (B) containing at least one derivative of at least one other metal, and the alcohol is then evaporated in order to collect the precipitate formed which is dried and subjected to calcination in an oven. Use of the process for the manufacture of a powder for the manufacture of capacitors and of positive-temperature-coefficient electrical resistors (PTC resistors).
