PURPOSE:To provide a resin composition capable of remarkably reducing or preventing occurrence of black foreign materials, eye mucus, plateout, etc., in a screw, a dies, etc., of an extruder in the expansion extrusion molding method and capable of continuous covering of an foam insulated electric wire over a long time. CONSTITUTION:(A) A thermoplastic resin (e.g. polyethylene) is blended with (B) a powdery foaming agent (e.g. azodicarbonamide or oxybenzenesulfonyl hydrazide) having 3-20mum average particle size and (C) a powdery inorganic filler (e.g. silica or diatom earth) having 1-7mum average particle size. The ratio of the average particle size of (B) to that of (C) is (B)/(C) & 2.8/1, preferably (2.8/1)-(10/1) and the weight ratio of (B) to (C) is (B)/(C) = (40/60)-(90/10). Based on 100 pts.wt. (A), the total amount of (B) and (C) used is 0.1-5 pts.wt., preferably 0.2-3 pts.wt. and, if the composition being used as the masterbath, 1-100 pts.wt., preferably 1-25 pts.wt. |
