<p>The invention relates to a method for processing manure wherein the manure is separated in the livestock house into a urine and a faeces fraction; the livestock house has controlled ventilation, the ventilation air being used for predrying the manure to a dry solids content of more than 30% by weight in the faeces fraction; and the air discharged from the livestock house exchanges heat by means of a heat exchanger with the fresh air supplied. The invention provides a livestock house constructed for performing the method of the invention. The method of the invention resulting in a considerable lower ammonia emission.</p> |
