NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I [R<1> is H or OH-protecting group; R<2> is NR<3>R<4> (R<3> is substitutable alkyl, cycloalkyl, substitutable aryl, substitutable aralkyl or substitutable heterocyclic group; R<4> is H or R<3>) or substitutable heterocyclic group bonded at N on the ring; m is 0 or 1; n is 0-5; X is halogen, provided that m and n are not simultaneously H] and its salt. EXAMPLE:N-3-Acetoxy-4-chlorocinnamoylamino-1-adamantane. USE:Having excellent nerve growth factor producing and secretion promoting actions with hardly any toxicity and useful as a therapeutic agent for dementia, cerebral ischemic disorder and various nerve injuries. PREPARATION:A reactive derivative of a carboxylic acid expressed by formula II (Y is leaving group) is reacted with a compound expressed by formula III in the presence of a base in an inert solvent at -10 to +50 deg.C, preferably 0-30 deg.C temperature to afford the objective compound expressed by formula I. |
