PURPOSE:To lengthen the life by using, as a separator, the unwoven fabric of polyarylate (nematic liquid crystal polymer) fibers being stable to the ingredients of electrolyte and expressed by specified general formula. CONSTITUTION:The unwoven fabric of polyarylate (nematic liquid crystal polymer) fibers being expressed by the specified general formula is used as a separator for electrolytic capacitor. And the density of the unwoven fabric is made 0.05-50g/cm<3>, and the thickness 10-200mum. Moreover, the cross parts among fibers are fused together. Moreover, the polyarylate is synthesized, using the monomer of P-acetoxy benzoic acid, terephthalic acid, inphthalic acid, etc. Hereby, the progress of chemical reaction in use can be avoided, the life lengthened, and heat resistance and chemical resistance improved. |
