<p>PURPOSE:To compress the data, by selecting a data sample which is most different from the value selected as a display sample in a preceding group as the data sample for display from a digital data representing the electric activity of a heart. CONSTITUTION:A signal from an analog signal source 12 such as ECG (electrocardiogram) wave is applied to an A/D converter 14, and a digital sample being the output is applied to a latch L1 and shifted sequentially in latches L2-L4 constituting shift registers and each data of the group is stored. Each data of the latch L1-L4 is subtracted at subtractors 20-26 with the data in the latches L5-L8 selected as the display sample at the previous time, the result of subtraction is compared at comparators 30, 36-40 via absolute circuits 20'-26', and when the output of the latch L2 has the largest difference, an output is generated at an AND gate 66, a gate 92 is turned on with a group signal S' and the latch L6 is set, and selected data is supplied to a display means 29.</p> |
