PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of defect in shape such as a recess in a corner part for a weather strip for sun roof provided with a column part for reinforcing a hollow lip part, linking with a weather strip base body, by forming a thin part on a part of the column part, so as to partially break the column part. CONSTITUTION:A weather strip 4 to be installed on the entire peripheral part of a rectangular sunroof main body 3 is provided with a weather strip base 5 to be installed on the sunroof main body 3, a hollow lip part 7 which is integrated with the base 5, and which is connected airtight with a roof opening end part 6, and with a column part 8 which is situated in the inner space of the hollow lip part 7, and which links a part of the hollow lip part 7 and the weather strip base 5, so as to reinforce the hollow lip part 7. A thin part 11 is formed on the column part 8 of the weather strip 4, and by stretching the column part 8 through the hollow lip part 7, the thin part 11 is broken, and the column part 8 can thus be separated from the weather strip base 5. |
