PURPOSE:To perform the communication of control information large in capacity at high speed by transferring the control information in a packetized format between packet communication equipment. CONSTITUTION:When the control information is transferred between the packet communication equipment, a packet for control information is generated at a microprocessor(MPU) part 251 in the packet communication equipment, and is stored in a control information transmission buffer memory part 231, and after that, the packet is selected and sent by a selector 241. Also, when it is identified that a reception packet is the one for control information at a reception packet processing part 281, the reception packet, after being stored in a reception buffer memory part 261 once, is inputted to the MPU part 251. Therefore, the control information can be transferred between the packet communication equipment as an ordinary packet. In such a manner, the control information large in capacity can be communicated at high speed.
