<p>This invention relates to a respiratory apparatus to be used during diving in water, which apparatus contains an aquatic moving unit (D) provided with an assembly comprising a gas exchange module (A) incorporating hollow-filament membranes (1) and having a gas inlet (2) and gas outlet (3), an air reservoir (8) having an inlet (6) and outlet (7), and a mouthpiece (C) provided with an outlet (11) having a valve opening only when discharging expiratory air and an inlet (10) having a valve opening only when inhaling inspiratory air, respective outlets and inlets being connected to one another in series. This respiratory apparatus enables improvement in function of gas exchanging since water around the hollow-filament membranes (1) is easily exchanged when the apparatus moves in water together with the aquatic moving unit (D). A portable respiratory apparatus, too, in which an assembly as above is composed to be mountable on the human back instead of being fixed to the aquatic moving unit is disclosed.</p> |
