METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PROCESSING PAD FOR STEERING WHEEL

PURPOSE:To make flashes removable so that uniform finish is obtained efficiently at a low cost, by a method wherein the flashes are stiffened by refrigerating a pad for a steering wheel and a projectile is projected on the flashes. CONSTITUTION:Only a decorative surface 2a of a pad 1 for a steering wheel made of a synthetic resin material molded by a mold is covered with a protective seal 2. This pad 1A is refrigerated and flashes 1e made at the time of molding are stiffened. Then a projectile is projected on a pad 1B refrigerated in a refrigerating process B and the stiffened flashes 1e are removed. Then a pad 1C from which the flashes are removed is dried by hot air having a temperature not exerting a bad effect on the pad 1C, in a shot blast treatment process C. Then the protective seal 2 is removed from a dried pad 1D.
