PURPOSE:To effectively connect a gas pipeline to a cell by constituting gas introducing and discharging passages by through holes provided in the inner part of the cell to omit a vessel which is a gas introducing manifold, and directly connecting the gas pipeline to the cell. CONSTITUTION:A separator 14 has channels 14a, 14b on both the surfaces to form respective gas passages. The gas passages of a separator plate are formed of the respective channels provided on both surfaces of the separator plate 14, and the gas feed to these parallel channels 14a, 14b and the gas discharge from the parallel channels are carried out by the holes extending through accumulated bodies of electrolytic plates 11 and the separator plates 14 in the accumulating direction. The accumulated bodies are airtightly accumulated to insulate and seal the cathode side gas and the anode side gas from each other and from the outside of the accumulated bodies. Hence, a vessel for gas introduction is omitted, and the gas pipeline can directly be connected to the cell. |
