The invention relates to a pre-sectioned metal strip (1), intended for the assembling of surface mountable (SMC) components, from chips having two metallisations on two opposite faces. �<??>Each component position, delimited by two transverse slots (3, 4), comprises two exterior connections (5, 6) each extended by a contact pick-up part.
