Packaging in lined boxes: package opening devices.-The bag 2 lining the box 1 (Fig. 1) of the Specification 993,462, is at least partly filled before it is incorporated in the box so that it is pressed by the material against glue 14 surrounding the spout-sealing hole 13 of the prior Specification. The hole 13 is covered by a flap 19 (Fig. 4) which is perforated to facilitate its removal. Sealing material in tubes.-In the form shown (Fig. 6) the bags are formed by transversely sealing and parting at 55 plastics tubing 29 which is filled by a pipe 36 extending through a slot 38 cut at 30 and resealed at 37. The tubing is fed vertically over a roller 32 and pulled downwards by pincers 47. Feeding cartons; supporting during filling.- The cartons are fed from a conveyer 57 to a support which is moved upwards as they are filled by a lever 62. The cartons are then removed by a pusher 59 for closing. |
