PURPOSE:To enable to prepare uniform, good seedlings in a labor-saving state without causing the root rot of the seedlings by aligning seedling-raising pots having young seedlings planted therein in a cultivation tank, pouring a nutritive solution in the pots until the bottoms of the pots are immered in the nutritive solution, and subsequently draining the nutritive solution after a constant time. CONSTITUTION:Seedling-raising pots 20 are filled with an artificial medium 2 (e.g. a mineral fiber granules such as rock wool or slag wool; average particle diameter: approximately 1-30mm, bulk density: approximately 0.1-0.5g/cm<3>) having water retainability, planted with young seedlings and subsequently aligned on a pot-loading surface 3a of a cultivation tank 1. The pots 20 are irrigated with a nutritive solution for a constant time at required time intervals until the bottoms of all the pots are immersed, and the nutritive solution is subsequently drained. |
