<p>PURPOSE:To freely write or read data from an external part to an EEPROM in a microcomputer by incorporating an external interface, which can be controlled by a PROM programmer, in the microcomputer for which the EEPROM is incorporated. CONSTITUTION:When the data are written from the PROM programmer, an address to write the data and the data are transferred through an external interface circuit 2 to an EEPROM interface circuit 4 and the data are written to an EEPROM 3 by the EEPROM interface circuit 4. When the data are read, an address to read the data is transferred through the external interface circuit 2 to the EEPROM interface circuit 4. The EEPROM interface circuit 4 reads the data of the address, which is transferred from the external interface circuit 2, from the EEPROM 3 and transfers the data through the external interface circuit 2 to the PROM programmer. Thus, the data can be written and read from the external part to the incorporated EEPROM.</p> |
