A single treatment unit is suitable for flotation and filtration of liqs. esp. water, effluents etc. that contain dissolved, emulsified and/or colloidal matter and absorbed gases. The unit contains a pref. circular flotation area (1) arranged around a vertical axis and a filter bed, a raw liq. feeder and facilities for removal of heated liq. and floated components (8, 9) and a rinse feed and removal system. The flotation area is divided by a downwards pointing envelope of a cone and a dome for the collection of floating components. The upper pt. of the conical envelope is provided with perforations (5). Perforations are missing from the lower portion of the cone. A lamellar system reaches almost as far as the perforation free height. The lower section of the floatation area is surrounded by a filter bed. |
