PURPOSE:To transfer a number of state informations efficiently and rapidly without complicating communication and processing by a method wherein an image forming device and respective additional equipments make a group of various types of present states as one information code and transfer it to an image processor or a host system. CONSTITUTION:An image forming system consists of an image forming device body 4 receiving character code information, image information, and the like from a host system 1 and forming an image on a recording medium and additional equipments 5A-5E. A command issuance means 4b in the image forming device body 4 issues a command containing an identification code for individually specifying the respective additional equipments 5A-5E or a command containing a commom identification code for specifying all the additional equipments, as necessary. A serial communication part 4a transmits the command to the additional equipments 5A-5E through a signal bus SB. Therefore, the image forming device body 4 can conduct a control by individually specifying the additional equipments 5A-5E in a normal state, or issue and transmit the command containing the common identification code for specifying all the additional equipments, whereby such information such as an emergency stop command can be simultaneously transferred to the additional equipments 5A-5E to be conducted. |
