A rolling-element cage for a rolling-contact bearing executing a linear and/or rotary motion consists of injection-moldable or castable material and is of two-or multi-part design with windows (6) to accommodate the rolling elements (7), which are separated by webs (8). The cage is split into two parts (1, 2) in the longitudinal centre plane (10), the two parts of the cage each having, preferably at their two front faces, connecting elements (3, 9A, 9B) for connection to one another.
