PURPOSE: To obtain a fungicidal composition including bacteria being a fungal antagonist and naturally growing with fungi of a leaf in the leaf of a plant, or variants thereof having fungicidal activities as an active ingredient, capable of suppressing infection of the leaf of the plant with the fungi and not polluting the environment. CONSTITUTION: This fungicidal composition includes an effective amount of one kind selected from bacteria being a fungal antagonist and naturally growing with fungi of a leaf in the leaf of a plant, variants thereof having fungicidal activities and a remaining culture medium as an active ingredient. The bacteria are the ones belonging to genus pseudomonas or genus agrobacterium, and Pseudomonas putida and Agrobacterium radiobacter can suppress leaf rust, etc. The fungicidal composition is used by spraying the composition with an effective amount of a suitable surfactant such as a thinner. A much amount of the bacteria required for a commercial production of the fungicidal bacteria composition is obtained by fermentation. |
