Semiconductor image converters (7) are placed on the oculars of a binocular optical device e.g. periscopes, binoculars, microscopes, rangefinders etc. The image converters feed signals to and are controlled by identical pixel data converters (10). Both pixel data converters (10) are controlled by outputs (14,15) of a common control unit (12).
