Method of emptying a guide for a diaphragm and arrangement for carrying out the method

An arrangement for sealing and emptying half shells in liquid-supported earth trenches is described. The margins of the half shells facing one another in pairs serve as a guide for a diaphragm when the latter is drawn or pushed into the earth trench. Tubular and/or cushion-shaped pressure bodies are fastened to the side of the shell bodies facing the earth. The pressure bodies are filled from above with a fluid which leads to an increase in volume. The half shells are thereby pressed tightly together to form a hollow body which can subsequently be emptied without subsequent flow of liquid. The half shells can also be pressed tightly together while being simultaneously emptied by scoops being removed from the hollow space at high speed so that an external overpressure arises in a pulsating manner. As an alternative, hydraulically or pneumatically operable displacement bodies are put into the hollow space, which are emptied in a pulsating manner after the displacement of the suspension for producing an external pressure.
