<p>PURPOSE:To improve the processing speed by loading a conversion table required for coding/decoding processing, a coding data and an original picture data into a memory arranged on a local bus different from a main bus from a main memory and processing the data. CONSTITUTION:The conversion table, a coding data and an original picture data are loaded from a main memory to memories 2-5 arranged on local buses B2-B4 different from a main bus B1. Then an arithmetic control circuit 7 codes the original picture data stored in the 1st and 2nd picture data memories 2, 3, stores the result to a code data memory 4 according to the code conversion table stored in the conversion table memory 5 and decodes the coded data into the original picture data conversely. Thus, the memory access time is reduced and high speed processing is attained.</p> |
